How it works
Four steps, usually 20 to 30 minutes for most cars, SUVs and pickups.
Pull in
No appointment. Drive up to bay N and check in at the counter with your DMV renewal notice if you have one.
Inspect
A visual check of your emissions parts plus a scan of your vehicle's computer for trouble codes and readiness.
Test
An OBD test for 2000 and newer vehicles. Older vehicles get a tailpipe test on the dyno, plus functional checks.
Results
Pass and your certificate goes to the DMV electronically. Fail and you get a clear printout, never a repair pitch.
